Rilsan® (PA11) coating: Durable protection against corrosion and wear
Rilsan® PA11 is a high-performance polyamide used to protect metal parts against corrosion, wear and certain mechanical aggressions, while providing an excellent finish and very good durability.
Rilsan® is made from polyamide 11 (PA11) powder, a thermoplastic polymer developed and manufactured by Arkema . This material is obtained through a unique process of transforming castor oil, a renewable plant resource.
Thanks to its bio-based origin and its durability properties, Rilsan® boasts an excellent environmental record while offering high technical performance. It is therefore a particularly suitable coating solution for the long-term protection of metal parts in numerous industrial applications.

Important point: use and function
Rilsan® is used to provide long-lasting protection for metal parts in demanding environments such as industry, water networks or the food industry.
It offers excellent corrosion resistance (up to 2000 hours of salt spray), very high mechanical resistance to abrasion and cavitation, as well as high chemical inertness to bases, acids and solvents.
Certified for contact with drinking water and food , it also has very good dielectric strength , making it suitable for certain electrical applications, particularly in electric vehicles.

Rilsan® effectively protects many parts against corrosion in suitable industrial environments ( up to 2000 hours of salt spray).

The performance of a Rilsan® coating depends on the material, but also on surface preparation, application, and final inspection. This overall control determines the durability of the result.

Preparation adapted to the substrate to ensure adhesion and stability of the system.
